Crews will try next week to move a tour boat, that floated down the Kentucky River and over a lock, back home.

The Dixie Belle, which belongs to Shaker Village in Mercer County, is still on a trailer at Cummins Ferry Marina, according to Shaker Village officials.

Officials are hoping to move the boat over land early next week. They say it will be at a two-day process, since there are only certain hours a vessel of the Dixie Belle's size can travel over the road.

They're hoping to put it back in the river around Camp Nelson, which is above the lock, so it can travel back up to Shaker Landing.

Shaker Village officials say there's some damage to the dock there, and that has to be repaired before the boat can go back in operation.
