A child is rushed to the hospital after nearly drowning in a central Kentucky public pool.
It happened at the Anderson Dean pool in Mercer County. We're told around 1:30 this afternoon, a lifeguard dove into the pool after a small child. Pool Manager, Karla Edwards says the 3 year old went down the water slide and didn't come back up. A lifeguard on duty dove in after him. The child wasn't breathing at the time, so the lifeguard began performing CPR. Edwards say by the time medical help got there, the child was breathing on his own, crying and screaming. He was flown to UK Hospital.
His name and condition have not been released.
