A mother's fight against a central Kentucky school system over what she says happened to her son at school is expected to take center stage at a school board meeting Thursday.
Sandra Baker plans to deliver 170,000 signatures to the Mercer County School Board, asking for the district to start a training program for teachers in the district who work with special needs children.
Baker first talked to 27 NEWSFIRST in December, saying her nine-year-old autistic son was placed in a duffel bag as a punishment by a teacher.
As part of the petition, Baker also wants disciplinary action taken against the teacher involved.
Mercer County School officials have said they look into every complaint seriously.
