Police searching for armed robber

Police are searching for a robbery suspect, who they say is armed and dangerous.

Harrodsburg Police say Terrence Walker held up the Marathon station on South College Street at gunpoint around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The robbery happened while the gas station was full of customers and employees. Many of those people say they knew the robber.

Surveillance video shows the robber enter the store. He mills around while other customers are inside.

Manager Richard Morris was outside when the robbery happened. The robber waited until another customer went to pay, then made his move.

"He walked behind the counter, stuck a gun in the abdomen of my store clerk, told him to get the drawer. Then he got some cash and ran," Morris said.

The robber ran away and police responded immediately.

"Everybody knew who he was, we had an ID on him within thirty minutes of the robbery," said Morris.

Harrodsburg police say the robber is Terrence Lee Walker, who is from Harrodsburg. They say after the robbery he got a ride to Campbellsville but jumped from the vehicle when police got near.

They've issued a warrant for his arrest and say he is armed and dangerous.

Harrodsburg Police believe Walker is still in the Campbellsville area.

Mercer County Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information leading to Walker's arrest and conviction. Their number is 859-733-9115.
