A central Kentucky woman was arrested after police say she tried to pick up medicine that had been prescribed to her dead friend.
Harrodsburg Police police say they were called to the Kroger pharmacy last Thursday.
Police say 46-year-old Sandra K. Drury, of Harrodsburg, contacted the pharmacy to make sure the prescription, for generic Neurontin, had been filled.
Drury allegedly told pharmacy workers she would arrive a few hours later to pick up the prescription.
Police say their investigation found Drury had knowledge her friend was dead before she contacted Kroger, asking about the prescription.
Police charged Drury with attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud. She was lodged in the Boyle County Jail.
