JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) The city of Jackson is preserving its history in a unique way.

The old post office building was built 99 years ago. Through state and federal historic tax credits, the building has been restored into 14 brand new apartments. Keeping the historic value of the building is important to some who are from the area.

“I’ve always been a history buff and this is such a beautiful building. I will trust that everyone would appreciate the architecture and the beauty of it as much as I do,” resident Lillian Watts said.
