JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Johnson County Sheriff's Office conducted a drug roundup early Thursday morning.
They called it "Operation Spring Cleanup."
Thirteen people are now behind bars with felony drug indictments.
Officers say this was a joint investigation with Operation Unite that began in January.
Most of the charges are for drug trafficking and stem from selling prescription pills.
Some of them are facing meth related charges.
"We're just going to continue putting the pressure on them, and again if they don't like it they can just high tail it and get out of the county. I personally feel like our overdoses are way down. Our program is working," said Johnson County Sheriff Dwayne Price.
Officers say among all 13 arrested there were 36 total charges.
Law enforcement officials say they will continue these types of roundups to hopefully curb the drug problem in the area.
