Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) announces the following upcoming events on their campuses in the coming weeks:
SCIENCE CENTER TO HOST FRIGHT LIGHT SHOW: The East Kentucky Science Center and Planetarium will host a variety of activities, including a "Fright Light" laser show, on Saturday, October 19 from noon to 4 p.m. The event will include a costume contest, planetarium shows, free treat bags and the “Fright Light” laser show. You will learn how the celebration of Halloween is actually tied into Astronomy!
Regular admission rates apply: Adults $6 and students and seniors $4 (ages four and under free).
A special showing of the "Fright Light" laser show will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 19. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Admission for this special event is $5.

DENTAL HYGIENE PRE-ADMISSION CONFERENCE: Big Sandy Community and Technical College will host a Dental Hygiene Pre-Admission Conference at 4 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, in the Johnson Building (Room 117) on the Prestonsburg campus.

PRESIDENT’S ANNIVERSARY GALA: Big Sandy Community and Technical College will host the President’s Anniversary Gala at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 26, at the Wilkinson-Stumbo Convention Center at Jenny Wiley State Park. The featured entertainment will be Exile and the master of ceremonies will be national sports broadcaster Kenny Rice.

HALLOWEEN SAFE HOUSE: The Office of Student Activities and other student organizations at Big Sandy Community and Technical College will be sponsoring a Halloween Safe House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 31, on the Prestonsburg campus. The event will include a costume dance contest, cakewalk, face painting and treat bags for the kids.
