Big Sandy Community and Technical Nursing Students Make a Difference

Prestonsburg, KY (May 14, 2012)  Nursing students from the Big Sandy Community and Technical College chapter of the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students surprised Pikeville Medical Center with a donation to their pediatric unit on Friday, May 4th.

Prestonsburg, KY (May 14, 2012) Nursing students from the Big Sandy Community and Technical College chapter of the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students surprised Pikeville Medical Center with a donation to their pediatric unit on Friday, May 4th.
The “KANS Cares Cart” was donated to help boost the morale of pediatric patients during their hospital stay. Items on the cart include: an X-Box 360 with Kinect, several games, 2 portable DVD players, books, puzzles, board games, and DVDs. The cart itself was donated by Burchett’s Heating and Cooling of Paintsville and the students raised money to purchase the items for the cart.
