PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - At Hutch Chevrolet in Paintsville they had five cars for sale for $5 each.
People camped out since Thursday afternoon waiting to be the ones to get to buy those cars.
One of them was even a Black Friday birthday gift!
"We're pumped! I'm still shaking," said Melissa Belcher-Welch.
They say they are still in shock after waiting overnight hoping to be one of a handful of lucky people to drive away in a $5 car.
"He came in yesterday and he said 'Hey we're going to go camp out tonight,' and I said 'Camp out?' and he said 'Yeah up at Hutch Chevrolet.' I said 'Let's go!'" said Edward Sparks.
The people standing next to the cars this morning when Hutch employees arrived with the keys were the lucky ones.
The employees say they were not sure what to expect.
"We had a great response. I think people started camping out on the lot yesterday around five and six o'clock," said Earl Justice.
"We came at 6:30 last night and we camped out," said Belcher-Welch.
They all agree it was cold.
"My feet are like ice cubes still," said Sparks.
But they also agree it was worth it.
Matthew Wike says it makes his Black Friday birthday even more special. He says this is the best birthday present he has had.
The lucky five who got these cars say they never actually thought they would be the first ones in line.
Employees say several hundred people were on the lot by this morning.
