JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Some deputies in Johnson County went through some very hands-on training with tasers this week.
The officers volunteered to be shot with a taser to see how people react to it.
It was all part of a training class designed to teach police how to use tasers and how they work.
Two Johnson County deputies volunteered this time, and those who have been tased say it is an undescribable feeling.
"It completely locks your muscles up. It's probably the worst pain that you've had, and it'll bring you to your knees quick," said Chief Deputy Kevin Pelphrey.
They say the good news is it only lasts a few seconds and you recover almost immediately.
