Some students from Johnson County will be heading to Indianapolis to compete in an international academic competition.
The Johnson County Middle School academic team recently won second place at the national quick recall tournament after winning first place in the state Governor's Cup.
Now they will go to Indiana along with some students from Johnson County High School and two elementary schools for the international competition.
"They work extremely hard. They work after school each and every day. They come in on weekends sometimes and work, and when we have snow days and the roads are clear they'll come in and work all day long on their academics," said Steve Trimble, Johnson County Superintendent.
The international competition is next week.
