PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Following weeks of controversy, the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center now has a new administrator.
Jail Authority Board Members voted to hire Franklin D. "Pete" Fitzpatrick as the jail's new administrator.
The decision was not made without a fight.
Board member Jim Kelly made a motion to re-announce the position and begin the process anew.
However, the motion was struck down.
