The mayor of Paintsville is behind on his utility bill by more than two years.
The Paintsville Herald recently submitted an open records request to the utilities commission that shows Mayor Bob Porter has not payed his bill since November 2009, and he owes more than $7,000.
Porter told the newspaper that he is in agreement with the commission to handle the matter.
