LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - After two mistrials, a Laurel County woman has been acquitted in the death of her husband.
The Laurel County Circuit Court Clerk said Special Judge, Robert McGinnis dismissed the case against Lisa Gilliam.
Gilliam's attorney filed a motion last month following her mistrial for a directed verdict of acquittal.
The judge sustained that motion during Friday's hearing.
Prosecutors argued earlier this year Lisa Gilliam shot her husband, Larry Gilliam, inside his London law office last year.
