LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Snow will mean slick roads for drivers in southern Kentucky. The London Public Works Department has been ready for winter weather since Thanksgiving.

An inch or two is expected to fall in the region early Tuesday morning. Right now, the city has enough salt to handle that amount. If officials need more, they will order additional salt from the state. Public Works Director Steve Edge says the snow won't be an issue for most areas.

"A lot of time when they call for an inch, there's enough traffic in town that you don't see a lot of accumulation," said Edge.

Crews will use five or six trucks to clear more than 60 miles of roads.
