LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - A mother faces charges after police say she left her two young children home alone.
35-year-old Joyce Blanton was arrested Wednesday night.
Laurel County deputies say they received a report that Blanton's children were alone.
When they came to the neighborhood, they say they found the children at another home nearby.
When deputies found Blanton, they say she was under the influence.
They also say she gave them different stories about where she had been.
She's charged with child abandonment and public intoxication.
