Multiple arrests made at World Chicken Festival

Undercover surveillances conducted during World Chicken Festival.

LONDON, Ky. Laurel County Sheriff's Deputies and Detectives carried out undercover surveillances at the World Chicken Festival Friday and Saturday.
Official say the officers in plain clothes operated in downtown London to ensure that the large number of visitors would enjoy a safe, and family oriented atmosphere.

Among those arrested were:

• Shane Botkins age 38 of London charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.-Also an outstanding Laurel County Bench Warrant for Failure to appear in Court

• Brandon L. Broaddus age 31 of Crab Orchard charged with: Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place

• Johnathan L. Allen age 22, Jackson, Ky charged with: Public Intoxication-Controlled Substances, and Trafficking in Marijuana-had marijuana packaged for resell

• Robert W. White age 30 of Key West, Florida charged with: Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place

• Robert L. Hurley age 19 of East Bernstadt charged with: Public Intoxication-Controlled Substances

• Jonathon C. Wyatt age 20 of Barbourville charged with: Public Intoxication-Controlled Substances

• Joshua M. Allen age 21 of London charged with: Public Intoxication-Controlled Substances

• Daniel A. Binder age 24 of London charged with: Failure to Appear in Court on a Laurel County warrant of arrest

• Jessie Allen age 58 of East Bernstadt charged with: Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place

All those arrested were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.

Detective Jason Back coordinated the special assignments . Deputies assisting on the surveillance patrols included: Deputy Daniel Grigsby, Deputy Josh Scott, Deputy Tyler Morris, and Deputy Kevin Berry
