LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) Service men and women often face a battle even after they return from war.
A new organization called ‘Getting Peace for Those Who Served’ is aiming to help veterans and their families reassemble their lives.
The program is designed to help military service men and women as well as their families like their spouses and children.
Mike Seals is the founder and president of the organization who says he felt like it was his calling to serve those who have served our country.
“God has put a burden on my heart to help. I’m not a veteran, but he’s put people around me that can help, that know what to do and know what needs to be done,” Seals said.
GPS meets at the Bennett Center of London every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
They also offer free counseling for service members and their families. For more information, click the attached link.
