JENKINS, Ky. (WYMT) - The Letcher County Relay for Life is this Friday, and some folks used today as a chance to raise money for it.
This was the eighth annual Letcher County Mountain Crawlers Relay for Life Charity Ride. More than 90 riders rode 30 miles on their ATV's. Participation was free, but donations were accepted. An organizer for the event, Tammy Williams, is a cancer survivor and says any money for relay for life helps.
"It just touches so many lives and it touches home to so many people and it's just very important that you try to raise money and come and make money for relay," said Williams.
More than $1,800 was raised at the event.
