The all-clear has been given on a busy Lexington road, where a gas leak closed it earlier.
Officials say construction workers on Boston Road, hit a natural gas line while digging a hole to put in a fence beside a Rite Aid around 10 Friday morning.
Because of the leak, Boston Road was closed to traffic for several hours. The Rite Aid was also evacuated. Everything is back to normal in the area now.
Fire officials remind everyone that before digging a hole, you could call 811, or utility companies first to find out where any gas lines may be.
They also say if you have a gas leak in your home, you should keep any ignition sources away from it, then evacuate, and call the fire department.
