We are learning new information about a bizarre robbery at a fast food restaurant.
The robbery happened at the Captain D's on East Reynolds Road, off Nicholasville Road, in Lexington.
Police say the robber was wearing a Richard Nixon mask when he used a gun to rob the restaurant.
He then then forced the three employees into a freezer before taking off.
"He was very relaxed and had specific commands for each of them while he was in the business," said Lt. Edward Hart with Lexington Police.
Hart added that the robber appeared to be familiar with closing time procedures.
The robber is described as a black man, standing 5'3" with a stocky build. He was also carrying a large camouflaged backpack.
Police say the Nixon mask only covered part of the robber's face, however employees still couldn't get a good enough look at him to determine an age range.
The method the robber used is similar to one used in a series of robberies in Lexington in previous years, where a man wearing a "Scream" style mask hit restaurants at closing time, and locked the employees in the freezer.
Police say the similarities in those robberies, with the one Sunday night, have led them to investigate whether there's a connection.
Right now, Lexington Police say they are waiting to get surveillance video from the Captain D's back to headquarters, so they can begin making comparisons between the robberies.
