A safety alert has been issued for the University of Kentucky campus after a reported robbery on campus early Tuesday morning.
A student told police he was robbed around 2:45 a.m. at Rose Street and Funkhouser Drive.
The robber told the student he had a weapon but didn't show one.
The robber then headed north toward the Hilary J. Boone Center.
U.K. Police asked Lexington Police for assistance in trying to find the robber but never found him.
He is described as a black man, weighing around 150 lbs. and between 20 and 30 years old. He has short hair or was possibly bald.
The robber was wearing jeans, but the victim could not identify a specific shirt color.
U.K. officials are advising students to walk in groups and stay alert to their surroundings, especially after dark.
