Surveillance pictures of fast food restaurant robbery released

We're getting a better look at the man police say held up a Lexington fast food restaurant at gunpoint.

Police have released some surveillance pictures taken during the robbery Sunday night at the Captain D's on East Reynolds Road.

Lexington Police say around 10:15 that night, a man wearing a Richard Nixon mask entered the restaurant, showed a gun, and demanded money.

Police say the suspect then led all of the store workers to the back office, and forced one of them to open the safe.

After getting some money, police say the suspect led all the employees into the store's cooler, then left.

Police say the suspect is a black man, 5'3"-5'4", with a stocky build. Along with the Nixon mask, he was wearing dark coveralls and gloves.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Lexington Police at 258-3600 or Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020.
