Police: Stolen car likely linked to escaped inmates

The search continues Tuesday for two prison inmates who escaped from the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington.

Police say 31-year-old Jerry Nation and 41-year-old Anthony Kendrick left the prison Sunday.

Since then, there's been an all out search to find them, and now, police believe they stole a car.

Nation and Kendrick were spotted yesterday at a rest stop on I-75 in Scott County.

Police believe the men then hopped on a train up to the Rogers Gap Road area in Scott County.

Police say sometime between 11:30 Monday night and 8 Tuesday morning, a car was stolen from a home on Rogers Gap Road, not far from the train tracks.

The stolen car is a 1992 red Buick Regal Custom, with a Kentucky license plate of 698-CPZ. The car has damage to its front left fender.

The owner of the car found a screw driver and wire cutters in the driveway.

There have been no sightings of Nation and Kendrick Tuesday.
