A woman will have to find a new place to stay Thursday night, after police say her neighbor crashed a car into her garage.
Lexington Police say the driver, a woman in her 70s, hit reverse and backed a rental car right into the house on Blandville Road, near Hays Boulevard, Thursday afternoon.
The driver said she wasn't able to stop.
The damage to the house was so bad, code enforcement officials had to condemn it.
"She thought maybe her garage door had been damaged or something," Code Enforcement Officer Tom Brooks said of the house's owner. "She didn't know the extent of the damage."
No one was hurt in the crash.
Police say the car involved was likely totaled.
