A push is on across the state to collect property taxes.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says people are paying, despite the bad economy.
So far, Fayette County has collected 85 percent of the due tax bills.
Property taxes have to be paid by the end of the year to avoid a penalty.
In Fayette County, property tax payments can be made at the sheriff's office, in Suite 236 in the Fayette District Court building, by mail, or online at www.fayettesheriff.com.
You can also make property tax payments at any Lexington Republic Bank location, as long as you have your payment coupon with you.
