Lexington police have been looking for 35-year-old Darrell Strunk for the last week. They say he and another man walked into B & N Towing on December 5th, tried to sell an alternator, then tried to rob the owner. The owner pulled out his gun and shot Strunk, and up until Wednesday night, police still hadn't found him.
"Once the warrant was issued by the detectives, yes we were definitely looking for him. It was robbery first. It was a felony, involved a firearm, so we did definitely want to catch him as soon as we could, wanted to get him off the street," says Lt. C.D. Schnelle.
Police arrested Strunk at Central Baptist Hospital. After doctors were done treating his gunshot would, officers escorted him to the Fayette County Detention Center.
