LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Doctors are alerting people who have to be outside to watch their steps, because of the ice.
Emergency room doctors at UK Hospital say they've treated many people the last few days who slipped and fell on ice and snow.
Some of them suffered head, arm, or ankle injuries.
Doctors have some advice if you have to walk outside.
"There's no magic fix. You got to be careful," UK Emergency Medicine Doctor Charles Eckerline said. "You got to wear shoes that have good footing. People who are off balance should have someone with them. Just your basic common sense precautions."
Doctors also point out that they've seen slip and fall injuries from people of all ages the last few days.
