The holiday season is all about giving, and this week on NewsFirst we've been highlighting organizations in need of your donations. Today we show you what the Catholic Action Center is doing to make sure local children have a holiday.

The 14th annual Faith & Community Christmas Store runs Monday, December 21-23rd at the Vineyard Community Church located at 817 Winchester Road.

Today volunteers started getting ready for the next few days, unloading toys in the church and organizing them for the Christmas store.

The toys then go to families who need a little help this holiday season.

"So children in need in Lexington have toys under their tree this year", says Ginny Ramsey with the Catholic Action Center.

The Faith & Community Christmas Store will be open next Monday thru Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Adults can shop in the store for free, and are limited to four children to shop for, but you must get a ticket for the event Monday morning to enter the store. Tickets will be handed out Monday morning starting at 8:00 a.m.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for this event, and to help during this event. To find out how you can volunteer, call Godsnet at 859-514-7210 or email caclexky@insightbb.com
