Vivian Viola (Angell) Wood, 77, wife of Irvin Howard Wood, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Tanbark Health Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Vivian was the daughter of the late John William and Mary Elizabeth (Sloan) Angell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and also attended Rosedale Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Harrison- Fullerton Lodge #937 in South Shore, Ky. and member of the Arlington County Club. Because of her love of children she was an active volunteer at local schools and the church.
In addition to her husband, Irvin H. Wood, she is survived by one son, Irvin Thomas “Tom” Wood of South Shore, KY; Two daughters, Brenda Lynn Owen (Obie) of Lexington, KY; and Valerie Robinette (David) of Stone, KY; One brother John Taylor Angell of Salem, VA; One sister, Lillie Alice Stump of Roanoke, VA; Five grandchildren, Beau Hackney, Tiffany Hackney and Melanie Hackney, Elisabeth Anne Broaddus Kenney and John Thomas Wood. Five great grandchildren, Joshua Hackney, Evie Hackney, Emma Kenney, Lucy Kenney and Leona “Missy” Wood. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Stuart Angell, Ed Angell and Robert Angell.
Funeral services for Vivian Viola Angell Wood will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Beau Hackney, John Wood, David Robinette, Obie Owen and Eugene Wood. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. In addition to flowers donations may be made to the Rosedale Baptist Church.
