People call 911 seconds before deadly crash

Lexington Police had a busy highway blocked for hours Monday afternoon after a deadly head-on crash. A minivan drifted into the other lane of traffic and hit a Penske moving truck on Georgetown Road at Kearney Road just before 1:00pm. The woman driving the minivan, 67-year old Etta Corbin, was killed.

Police say another driver was following the minivan before the crash occurred and had called 911 second before the collision to report the vehicle drifting in and out of her lane. Police say there was not enough time for them to get to the road and pull the minivan over before the crash. They're now investigating what may have led Corbin, who is from Lexington, to lose control.

The driver of the moving truck, 64-year old Eddie Zornes, was taken to UK Hospital with what police describe as minor injuries.

A third vehicle, an SUV, hit the back of the moving van after the crash, but the driver of that vehicle was not hurt.
