A former drug dealer testified in a federal vote buying trial.
According to the Lexington Herald, Kenneth Day says he used to buy votes and helped tamper with jury verdicts in Clay County.
Eight Clay County residents are charged with conspiring to corrupt elections.
Day claims he witnessed two of those charged, former superintendent Doug Adams and former circuit judge Cletus Maricle buy votes at the polls in the mid-1980's, before they allegedly moved up to direct the enterprise.
Attorney for several of those charged attacked Day's credibility.
