Sam Carr is frustrated the snow on his street is just as bad as the snow still on his driveway.

“You pay for the service, but it never gets done,” says Carr.

Lexington road crews worked through the night to get primary roads cleared as the city was under a stage one snow emergency.

Road managers are still working to clear off priority streets under the city’s snow plan, and neighborhoods will likely be treated on an as-need basis.

City officials say the $500,000 salt budget has been exceeded. It is expected to be $700,000 by the end of the season.
