It's a one man mission that's sparked a fierce national debate.
Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning is still blocking a $10 billion bill, that among other things, would extend unemployment benefits.
He stood firm on his stance in Washington Tuesday.
"It's really hypocritical for the Democrats to pass a pay as you go bill and then to present a bill that not only is paid for but paid for a little bit," Bunning said.
So Tuesday, those for and against Senator Bunning showed up outside his Lexington office.
Around 100 people came to rally in support or against his stance.
Very few people in attendance remained neutral.
Lexington's rally was the second held in Kentucky Tuesday. The other was held earlier in the afternoon in Louisville.
