There were more sightings early Thursday of a peeping tom who has been plaguing a central Kentucky neighborhood.

Lexington Police received at least two calls of the man looking into the windows of homes along West Short Street and 2nd Street.

Some people living along West Short Street say they're doing everything they can to deter the man, whom they say rides up on his bike and peers in windows. Some people have even boarded up their bottom-floor windows.

"I constantly get up and lookout my shades at night thinking he's there," explained Shirley Johnson, who hasn't been victimized, but knows neighbors that have been.

Johnson says in addition to the motion-detecting security light on the front of her apartment building, she keeps her shades drawn tightly.

"Constantly keeping the windows locked, making sure the doors are locked," Johnson explained. She's hoping to deter the peeping tom as much as possible.

Police say they are stepping up patrols in the area.

Witnesses have described the man as a black man on a white bike, wearing thick, dark-rimmed glasses and a beanie.
