Copper thieves hit Kentucky Utilities

Lexington Police made a quick arrest early Tuesday in a copper theft from property belonging to Kentucky Utilities.

Police say thieves hit the area behind the K.U. building on Stone Road.

A little later near Regency Road, an officer pulled over a pickup truck for not having its headlights on.

In the bed of the truck, officers say they found $2,000 worth of copper wiring and tubing.

The suspects' names haven't been released.
