Sixty countries express interest in competing in World Equestrian Games

We are closer to knowing which countries will be represented at the World Equestrian Games, set to begin at the Kentucky Horse Park in just 140 days.

60 countries have now expressed interest in attending the games. That's equal to the number of countries that expressed interest in previous games held in Germany.

More Central and South American countries are on the list this year.

Organizers are now expecting as many as 800 athletes to participate.

Another reason for strong interest in the games is the fact they are a qualifying event for the London Olympics.

The final entries and individual athletes will be named in August.

Tickets for all eight disciplines are still available.

It's estimated the games will bring more than $150 million to the state's economy.
