A tractor trailer crash tied up traffic along I-75 Friday morning in Lexington.
The driver of the semi says he was heading northbound near the 106 mile marker when his wheels went off the road and hit some dirt.
That is when the vehicle tipped over. The driver was able to climb to safety out of a window. He wasn't injured.
The crash happened just before 5 a.m.
Police were able to keep the traffic impact to a minimum. Only one lane of I-75 was ever closed.
Police expect to have the truck hauled away, and have all three lanes of traffic open again in time for the evening commute.
The truck was carrying plastic cutlery as well as recycled materials.
