66-year-old Nancy Thompson is facing two counts of knowingly abusing and neglecting adults. Those adults are her daughters.

A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of Nancy Thompson for circumstances surrounding the home on Rocky Hill Terrace.

Lexington Police say Thompson was caring for two mentally challenged women, her 21-year-old adopted daughter and her 41-year-old daughter. She was also watching over her 4-year-old granddaughter.

Authorities say inside the home they say the conditions were horrible.
Authorities say there was very little food, trash within the home, and animal feces from her dogs she kept in the home.

Neighbors say Thompson was very sick and had at one time been battling cancer while taking care of her family.

Today she would be told her $10,000 cash bond would not be lowered and to not be in contact with the alleged victims, her daughters.

As for Thompson's daughter-in-law, Kelly Thompson who lived upstairs with her husband and daughter, she was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor for allowing her 4-year-old to stay in those conditions. Authorities say this investigation is ongoing.

As for Nancy Thompson, she did not wish to speak on camera. Her son, who also lived in the home, also did not wish to speak about the incident.

The Division of Code Enforcement has condemned the property. State and local officials are now investigating.
