One family had a very close call when a storm blew through their neighborhood this afternoon.
The storm caused a tree to fall onto their home on Clays Mill Road in Lexington.
That tree barely missed a 14-year-old, who was standing nearby at the time.
The three crossed over the driveway, and landed on top of the roof.
The teen had just been sent outside by his father to bring the trash cans back from the sidewalk, so they wouldn't blow into the road.
He was five feet away from the tree when it fell.
"My dad had just sent me out to fetch the trash cans, and I heard a crack and the tree fell five feet in front of me onto the house," Julian Lowe, who was nearly struck by the tree, said.
"I'm just glad everything's alright and he made it through ok," The teen's father, also named Julian Lowe, said.
