An annual event that helps many children across the Bluegrass teed off Monday afternoon.
A reception was held at the Andover Golf and Country Club for the Children's Charity Classic.
It's one of the nation's longest running celebrity golf tournaments.
On Monday, Children's Charities of the Bluegrass presented checks totaling $330,000 to 30 different central Kentucky charities that help kids.
"You know, when I look at this, I try to think what are some of the things we can do to make our community better and stronger," Kim Sweazy, of Children's Charities said. "The biggest focus is changing the life of a child, because that is our future, and that's what we have to be able to do."
The week-long Children's Charity Fund Festival concludes with the annual Celebrity Golf Classic.
You can watch that on WKYT this Saturday.
