Lexington Police were at the Learn and Grow Academy early Friday morning to investigate an act of vandalism.
The Learn and Grow Academy has been open on Augusta Drive since September.
"The reason why I came in here was to make a difference in the neighborhood," says owner Frank Hall.
But Friday morning Hall found himself and his school victims of vandalism, from spray paint across the school's van and tags on the fence.
"The kids said 'who would do that,'" says Hall. "They were surprised to see it."
Even parents took notice.
"As a mother it upsets me to see that vandalism," says Robin Hines, who has two children attend the school. "It upsets me to see immaturity on the side of their building."
But the school says it will use this incident as a learning opportunity for its students.
"We show them that this is a no-no in the community and it doesn't add value," says Hall.
As for Hall, he says he hopes to have this all cleaned up over the weekend.
Hall says there was another report of vandalism at a resident nearby.
