Dozens of people in two Lexington neighborhoods woke up Wednesday morning to find they couldn't drive anywhere.
Overnight, vandals hit several cars, slashing tires.
This happened on several streets in the Pickway neighborhood at Nicholasville Road and Man o'War Boulevard.
Also, there were reports of more vandalism in the Wyndam Hills neighborhood, including broken out car windows.
Police estimate at least 25 cars were hit, but it could be more than that.
Those who woke up to the crime spree say the sweltering temperatures did not make the situation better.
"The hottest day of the year, and I don't have my back glass," Matthew Ellis, whose car was vandalized, said. "So there won't be any air conditioning for me today."
Police say they are still trying to narrow down the time frame in which the vandalism occurred. So far, they do not have any suspects.
Lexington Police say as of now, they do not believe the crimes in the two neighborhoods are related.
