LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - We're learning new information about the arrest of an administrative assistant on the UK Basketball team.
Lexington Police arrested Rod Strickland Thursday morning for driving on a suspended license.
His license was suspended for one year after a 2010 DUI arrest.
In a statement from UK, Strickland says his vehicle was properly registered and he produced his driver's license at the scene.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says while Strickland met his Kentucky requirements, his license remains suspended here because he failed to properly reinstate his license in Tennessee after a 2008 DUI case there.
Transportation officials say before he can get his license restored in Kentucky, Strickland has to clear his Tennessee case.
