Arson investigators say a fire that heavily damaged a Lexington home early Wednesday was likely set to cover a burglary.
There is heavy damage to the home on East Fifth Street at Julia Way.
A neighbor driving down the street saw smoke and called 911.
Firefighters think the fire started in the back of the home.
No one was home at the time.
Firefighters tell 27 NEWSFIRST a brother and sister live in the home. They were out of town, visiting relatives during the holidays.
After combing through the scene, investigators do think the fire was intentionally set.
