Big Blue Crush day one: one donor makes the difference for Kentucky

The first day of the 26th annual Big Blue Crush between Kentucky and Tennessee fans started off strong for both the Blue and the Orange with Kentucky leading by one, 696 to 695.

Donors this week will receive a long-sleeve Big Blue Crush T-shirt and a coupon for a McDonald’s McCafe’ beverage. Monday and Tuesday donors will also be eligible to win a pair of tickets to the Kentucky – Tennessee football game on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Commonwealth Stadium.

Big Blue Crush helps ensure a sufficient blood supply for Kentucky patients during the Thanksgiving holiday and into December. The overall record between Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) and Medic Regional Blood Center in Knoxville is 12 to 12 with 1 tie.

To find a Big Blue Crush donation location or to schedule an appointment, visit kybloodcenter.org or call 800.775.2522.
