The owners of a home on Bold Bidder and Pimlico Parkway, got some unexpected demolition work this evening.

"Yeah, it was quite a surprise," said Joe Stephan, who raced to his house after getting word of the crash.

Before the driver put his car into Stephan's home, he was seen by another driver cruising on the wrong side of the road, running a stop sign, and then smashed into a light pole in the front yard.

"He [was] driving in the other lane about a couple of blocks," recalled Alisha Smith, who was following the man, "he didn't stop at the intersection and ran into the pole. He got mad and the woman that lived at this house was like, 'Stop! Stop! I'll call 9-1-1.'"

"He looked very panicked and upset and he accelerated into the house. I think he was trying to back up," relayed Stephan.

"He was throwing up his arms and stepped on the accelerator and then ran into the house," added Smith, "I thought he was going to hit the woman that [lives] there."

The man, whose name hasn't been released, hit the Stephan's spare bedroom, causing quite a bit of damage, and it may force the couple from their home, tonight.

"We're waiting to hear whether or not they can reattach the wiring and get the electricity back on. If so, we'll probably stay here for the evening," said Stephan.

Still, Stephan is just happy his wife wasn't inside the home, or worse in the path of the car.

Police think the driver had a medical emergency before the crash, and was taken to U.K. Hospital for treatment.
