Cardinal Hill President and CEO announces resignation

Cardinal Hill Healthcare System's President and CEO, Kerry Gillihan, has announced plans to leave his position of 18 years, effective January 4, 2011, according to a news release.

Gillihan has been leading Cardinal Hill since 1993. "It has been a distinct pleasure and honor to have played a role in leading Cardinal Hill and growing it. The most gratifying and rewarding aspect of this post is the opportunity to work with a phenomenal staff and management team. These highly competent and dedicated staff members are simply the best, and make Cardinal Hill the special healthcare icon that it is," said Gillihan in a news release.

"Kerry Gillihan has played a significant role in the growth of Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and the Kentucky Easter Seal Society. The current 100 bed expansion of Cardinal Hill is a testament to his leadership, and he will be missed by both the staff and Board of Directors. We wish Kerry the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his service over the past 18 years," said Mike Kanarek, Chair of the Kentucky Easter Seal Society Board of Directors, in a news release.

Cardinal Hill Healthcare System is a 501(c)3 organization owned by the Kentucky Easter Seal Society, Inc., an affiliate of National Easter Seals Society. Cardinal Hill Healthcare System is the Commonwealth's largest provider of post acute care services to people of all ages.
