LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Grandfather of a 3-year-old girl found dead inside her Lexington home says the child was found inside a bean bag. State Representative Terry Mills of Lebanon, tells WKYT they girl may have been playing hide 'n' seek and apparently climbed inside a bean bag in her room.
The Fayette County coroner says Kylee Mills Simmerman died of suffocation
Police are still investigating what exactly happened to this little girl.
Emergency crews were called to her home on Graviss Court in Lexington around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after her parents reported her missing.
Mills says the girl's father searched the house before calling police, when firefighters arrived the found her in the bean bag.
Representative Mills told us his daughter and son-in-law are loving and devoted parents. He says the couple wants to send a thank you to everyone who has contacted the family with messages of support.
Visitation for Kylee will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bosley Funeral home in Lebanon. A funeral mass will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
